I'm Happy

Not only is one of the bathrooms finally completed, but I arrived from a stay-cation with my boo. Mommy dearest was in Puerto Rico with her family while I was staying with sissy. We had our ups and downs as all family's do, but luckily, I decided to book a hotel this past weekend to find peace. In that peace, I found myself and quality time with my baby.

My sister had wanted to ship me out to Puerto Rico to be with my aunt and mother. I was like, "I can't do that. I have so much at stake here in New York. Plus, what about my man?" I've long ago not given a damn about her approval when it comes to my relationship and to stop taking advice from women, who are no expert and can't manage their own love life. I discovered less than a year ago, that she sees me as competition, so her input is the least of my worries.

So, I was willing to stay with my aunt (my late dad's sister) in the Bronx and closer to my man and my girlfriends. However, after my aunt agreed to having me stay in one of her empty floors, she quickly changed her mind. It so happened to be at the exact moment when I was about to have an air mattress and air conditioner shipped from Amazon to her place. What a slap on the face! She told my sister to come and collect it, along with money. I don't know if I'll see the money, because most people are money-hungry, but it is what it is. I'm too happy to be concerned with that.

I will be starting classes in the Fall of 2025 instead of Spring of 2026 and I'm excited. Not so happy with it being in person, but that way, I can meet and interact with new people. I don't have much of a social life. It has its perks. Plus, I realized that when I was on iffy terms with my baby, that I couldn't have an idle mind. An idle mind is the devil's playground. I need to keep busy and in motion.

The only thing left is finding a part-time job. I hope and pray God can provide that for me. I will keep on looking, but I pray it is in the school I attend.
